I am Eckart Reichl, director-cinematographer (BVK) based in Dresden, Leipzig and worldwide. With more than 30 years of professional experience, I shoot films of almost all genres. With the live camera I am part of theater performances and document concerts of all kinds. My pictures have already taken me to over 35 countries around the world, where my eye, my feeling and my perspective have taught me to celebrate the close-up and the seemingly unspectacular with my camera. As a cinematographer, I dedicate myself to every film project with passion and professionalism.

Together with my partners - including directors, photographers, producers, creatives and authors - and especially with the WESDM Movies Company, I am happy to also tell your story. In the summer of 2022, I was allowed to take over the image design for the multi-layered short film "MANDALA" in Sinrio, Switzerland, in Ticino and in Rheinheim, Germany. After 5 days of shooting and countless days of editing, a short film rich in images was created. Here, 21 dancers dance to a poem by Rumi set to music. They radiate what they carry in their hearts. Spiritual spaces open up for the dancers and a gateway into the mystical world for the viewer of Mandala.
